Go into RETIREMENT Mode in Style
For having been in the world of education for 32 years, 18 years of school studies since the age of 3 ½ and finally hanging up his skates at 54…. Retirement is not the end of a career, but rather the beginning of a new chapter full of possibilities and adventures. I wanted to share this reflection with you in the form of an acronym:
Here's how to embrace this time with dynamism and passion, using the acronym RETIREMENT to guide your new life: RETRAITE to guide your new life:
Realize
Continue to pursue personal and professional projects that are important to you. Whether it's writing a book, launching a podcast, or developing a website, retirement is the perfect time to pursue your passions.
Enrich
Take advantage of this time to enrich your life and the lives of others. Participate in volunteer activities, share your knowledge and skills with others, and get involved in your community.
Transmit
Leverage your experience and expertise to mentor and guide others. Whether through educational workbooks, workshops, or conferences, your knowledge is valuable and can inspire the next generation.
Dream (Rêve in french)
Never stop dreaming. Retirement is the time to redefine your goals and explore new passions. Let your imagination run wild and pursue dreams that you haven't yet realized.
Action
Stay active and engaged. Whether collaborating with artists, teaching or exploring new areas, keep a dynamic mind ready to take on new challenges. Start dancing again, try boxing, hunt with a crossbow...I stay in action!
Innovation
Be on the lookout for new technologies and emerging trends. Use innovation to improve your projects and find creative solutions to challenges.Wow! The AI is extraordinary and I am in learning mode, BIG time!!
Transformation
See retirement as a time of personal transformation. Think about what you want to accomplish and how you can evolve to achieve your new goals. Mine had started two years ago! I recommend this exercise that I did: my “Get a life tree” to better prepare my next chapter. (The “Get a Life Tree” activity is from the book “How to Retire Happy, Wild, and Free” by Ernie Zelinski. This book offers tips and strategies for enjoying retirement to the fullest by exploring new passions and activities.) « Get a Life Tree » from the book « How to Retire Happy, Wild, and Free » by Ernie Zelinski, which offers guidance on enjoying retirement by exploring new passions and activities.
Engagement
Commit fully to everything you do. Whether in your projects, family, or community, engagement is the key to a fulfilling and meaningful retirement.
By embracing these principles, you can turn retirement into an exciting and enriching adventure. Take action and make this phase of life a time for renewal and limitless possibilities. 🌟🚀
My Philosophy: "Retirement is not the end, but the beginning of a new adventure. Every day is an opportunity to create, explore, and leave a positive mark on the world."
Creator of potential,
